X band radar is still around so keep your eyes peeled!
X band radar is still used in remote places in/around the U.S. I feel this "has" to be listed as so many have forgotten about that good ole' X band. Here is a few areas and feel free to add to the list. Ohio, Indiana, New Jersey, Oregon, some small towns in Michigan such as West Branch, Lapeer, Bay City,Saginaw, some towns surrounding Chicago such as Stickney, Crestwood, Wheaton, Aurora, Freeport IL, and Orangeville IL. I have heard some towns in SouthWest IL have it too, but can't confirm. North Carolina still uses X band in various places, some smaller towns in South Carolina, one report from Chattanooga Tennessee was that someone had picked up X band in the city limits, but can't confirm. Northern Ontario still uses X band especially in the smaller towns. I have heard a friend of mine that picked up X band recently while in Western Pennsylvania. In remote areas of Texas I have heard X band is being used. Mississippi still uses X band which another friend just picked up on his rd while driving through. Oregon is using X band very heavy right now so watch it! Some areas of Colorado are still using X band. Some smaller towns in Kentucky still use X band. Northern Wisconsin may use X band, but SouthWestern Wisconsin does use it to my knowledge. Montana, not sure but wouldn't put it past em'. Any more, because I am tired after writing all of this.
